The preservation of historic Downers Grove depends on gifts, grants, and donations from individuals, corporations, and other private foundations to carry out our mission. Those gifts can come in many forms, including: appreciated properties, bequeathals, life insurance or retirement plans, stocks or other financial instruments, and planned giving arrangements.
While all donations to DGHS will help save the buildings and culture of our Downers Grove past for the benefit of future generations, they may also reduce the donor’s income tax, help avoid capital gains tax, and offer other potential advantages.
